Last Ditch Weekend Innovation
above is the rought idea, below is the actual implementation
So I took the robot home for the weekend to build a solid version of the prototype Elizabeth B created in the lab on Thursday. Only - I discovered that the idea for mounting proposed during the meeting didn't actually fit our current design. So NEW IDEA:
Pick-up (integrate the cube and skyrise pieces together on a motor-driven swivel so they sit on opposite sides and can be rotated in competition so we can score both)
top vertical bars moved forward to the tip
motor will be geared up at 1:7
a manual stop is placed below for the cube pick-up
more parts are needed to finish this design on Tuesday: a lock plate and an 84 tooth gear
it appears we may only be able to reach the low post now, however if the skyrise scorer workers, strategically speaking that is more points=better
TESTING NEEDED
Program
the code for the new pick-up motor needs to be added to WildChild on the black flashdrive
we need some autonomous code written
Wiring
all the extensions, motor wires, and motor controller wires need to be secured with zipties or rubber bands
